On the 10th of September, the Huawei Consumer Business Group (BG) hosted the Huawei Seamless AI Life New Products Global Launch Event at HDC. Here, they announced several new products that will be coming to the Irish markets. These products will further enrich their 1+8+N All-Scenario Ecosystem. For the uninitiated, the 1+8+N Ecosystem refers to their goal of giving “1” smartphone reach over “8” devices (AV/VR, Tablet, PC, TV, Smartwatch, Speakers, Vehicle, Earphones) in “N” ecosystems (all environments and purposes you might use these devices in, such as in the office, at home, sports, etc). While the company is often known for their smartphones, they have plenty of other products as well.
So let’s get into the devices. What are we going to see?
HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro will be the first true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones that support intelligent dynamic noise cancellation. These earbuds will be launching in Ireland at the end of September. They will have a suggested retail price of €179. The FreeBuds Pro offer ANC and immersive audio-on-demand, as well as a noise cancellation rating of 40dB.
HUAWEI Watch GT 2 Pro
The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro offers up to two weeks of battery life, as well as over 100 workout modes. These range from skiing to golf driving range, each designed to more accurately track your statistics to a pro-grade level for that specific activity. The GT 2 Pro will be launching in Ireland towards the end of September, at a recommended retail price of €299.
HUAWEI Watch FIT
The Huawei Watch FIT is remarkably light, at just 39g. This makes it a perfect choice for a sports wristband. The watch will feature TruSeen 4.0, which will provide a more accurate and 24-hour heart monitoring system to track changes in blood oxygen, sleep, and stress conditions. It will retail at approximately €129 and will be available mid-September, so expect to see it soon.
HUAWEI MateBook X
The Huawei MateBook X will combine the flagship series’ popular design and its innovative technology with a new and improved lightweight design, as well as smart features. This includes Multi-screen Collaboration, which lets you connect your existing Huawei or Honor device to your laptop simply by tapping it. The device will weigh approximately 1KG, and measures 13.6mm at its thickest part. In terms of dimensions, it is smaller than an A4 sheet of paper. The launch date for this device has not yet been announced. The retail price is also unknown at this time.
HUAWEI MateBook 14
The Huawei MateBook 14 will feature a highly-portable design, as well as a powerful performance. It will sport the AMD Ryzen 4000H series processors. The display will be a 2k FullView Display, and it will have Multi-touch as an available option. Like the MateBook X, it too will have Multi-screen Collaboration. Also like the MateBook X, it doesn’t yet have a release date, nor a suggested retail price.
